Pendleton, Oregon
Diocese of Eastern Oregon
Our diocese was originally part of the Diocese of
Oregon. On October 14, 1907, the Missionary
District of Eastern Oregon was created by an act
of General Convention. We became a diocese in
1970. Our diocese has been served by seven
bishops since 1907. Bishop Nedi, a Provisional
bishop, is leading us in a discernment process as
we seek God's will for our diocese now and into the
future.
Twenty-two congregations comprise the Diocese
of Eastern Oregon. Geographically we are spread
over 69,000 square miles extending from the
Cascade Mountain range in the west to Oregon's
eastern border, and bounded north and south by
the Oregon state line. Klickitat County, Washington
is also part of the Diocese. The diocesan office is
located in The Dalles, Oregon.

youth and does not discriminate on the basis of race,
creed, color, national origin, sex, or handicap.
Ascension Camp
Adult Continuing Education Camp typically convenes
during the first week of August, and offers an opportunity
for adults to learn from well-known church leaders and
inspirational materials. Adult Ed

another venue to contemplate, learn, and relax in a camp
atmosphere.
